juniors/graduate position
Hello my extended network of friends, Romans, countrymen.
We are looking for juniors/graduates to join our rapidly growing team of
online advertising experts and the following is an informal job spec.
Suitable candidates can contact me and I'll be able to give them more
information and answer any questions.
Our company specializes in Pay Per Click advertising on Google, Bing, Yahoo
and YouTube. If you are unfamiliar with the term, Google it and look at the
ads at the top and to the right ‑ thats what we do but theirs a lot more to
it than that. We have some of the best minds in the industry steering the
ship, we are very good at what we do and we have the local and international
clients to prove it. In a nuttshell, the potential candidates need to have
the following:
‑ A quiet ambition to succeed
‑ An awesome personality and attitude
‑ Be able to speak and type English proficiently
‑ A basic understanding of the Internet and search engines
‑ Great time and task management skills
‑ Attention to detail
‑ References that will honestly tell us how awesome they are
‑ A penchant for numbers, formulas and Excel
‑ A strategic marketing and business brain
‑ The ability to learn quickly
They don't need:
‑ Relevant experience
‑ A degree
‑ A car
‑ An uncle who is a big shot at Jupiter drawing room
‑ Design skills
I won't sugar coat the positions available: They will start by doing reports
and helping the team build accounts. At times they may find the work a bit
mundane. If they show promise their is the potential of rapid career
development.

2010, An amazing show...
You are invited to the 2010 CPUT FID Graduate Show taking place from 23rd to 27th November. The opening night on the 23rd from 18:00 is traditionally a crowded affair with plenty of rubbing of shoulders and great networking potential. The evenings events are followed by the usual get-out-of-control party at a nearby venue. Please contact me if you wish to come and view the students work afterwards, during the exhibition week.

Junior designer Position in a Major Fashion magazine

Hope you are well? I am urgently looking for a graphic designer
interested in magazine design and fashion to start at GLAMOUR
magazine as of the 1st December 2010.
I'm also sending you the details of what we are looking for:
We are currently interviewing potential candidates, but I would
appreciate if you had any 2010 GD Graduates who you could recommend
for the Designer position at GLAMOUR. It is the best stepping‑ stone
into the magazine publishing industry in South Africa, and I'm sure
any aspiring young designer interested in magazines would kill for
the chance to work at GLAMOUR.
We are looking for a full‑ time young designer, competent working
knowledge of Adobe Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. (there will
be a design test at our offices). Any previous experience is always a
bonus. An interest in magazines, lifestyle, media, fashion, beauty and
celebrities is a must. The job responsibilities include everything
from Scanning, Filing, Design Layouts, Illustrations, sourcing, image
quality control, preparing layouts for Repro, directing product
shoots and team involvement in concept and production meetings for
each issue. Someone with a keen sense of involvement and creative
drive. A good Team player, eager to learn and produce top quality
layout designs. Someone who can work under pressure with the
knowledge of meeting deadlines.
The salary side of things, will be discussed with our HR Manager once
position has been confirmed.
