Bruce Lee Design Awards

Hi Guys! The lovely people from The President is launching a really cool and exciting award, please see the press release a little lower... no a little more.

They are coming to CPUT on Wednesday 4th August to introduce the award and get the students excited! Please tell all your students about this great opportunity and encourage them to attend the presentation - the project, prices and possible exposure is brilliant!!

From the Gutter to Glory: The President announces Bruce Lee Design Awards.

The President is proud to announce the first ever Bruce Lee Design Awards, brought to you by JayJays and MK.

A design competition with a difference, there are three categories in which entrants can channel their talents: T-shirt design, Band poster design and Motion graphics. Anyone is able to enter and there is no entry fee. Entry deadline is 1st November 2010, and no entries will be accepted thereafter. Finalists will be notified on the 31st of January 2010 and winners will be announced on the 26th of March at the second annual Toffie Pop Culture Festival in Cape Town.

The overall winner will receive a cash prize of R10 000 with extra prizes for category winners. JayJays will produce and sell the t-shirt category winner and MK will broadcast the motion graphics winner on high rotation. MK will also commission the band poster design winner to produce a design for one of their events.

The Toffie Pop Culture festival will take place from 24 – 26 March 2011 at the Cape Town City Hall. Tickets are R680 until the end of August and R750 from 1 September. Students pay R500. E-mail toffie@thepresident.co.za for bookings.
