A GD Digital Tutor, Adam Weston, is seen demonstrating the presentation application Keynote. Keynote is compared to Microsoft Powerpoint only a whole lot better - and that's a fact! It is available on all Imacs in all Studios for your use. Watch the Welcome to Keynote intro under the Keynote Help drop down menu to get you going. If you using Powerpoint after you have discovered Keynote you have a problem.
Day one got off to a promising start with the TIE student sessions. Cape Town Groups were decided and the students soon got down to conceptualizing their first assignment. The afternoon was mainly spent with setting up their Skype link up with their respective 'partners' over in the UK who. We were all amazed to see the size of the UK group when the webcam was turned to face them - a big WOW was heard in the tightly packed Room 3.18. Tomorrow the students kick off, after a cup of coffee, with making visual contact with the UK students and proceed with sharing ideas over the hemispheres. Here's to a great initiative all round. Have a look at the images to the right in the Flickr Photostream of the groups in day one or Click here.
